The Mountain Heights
     
 

Pralognan is the centre of hiking and mountaineering in Savoie. The resort is surrounded by 30 summits over 3000 metres above sea level. At 3855 m high, Grande-Casse is the highest peak in the Vanoise massif. The resort also has many glaciers on offer, for all levels. For example, Réchasse Point is easily accessible but the famous Italian Corridor on Grande-Casse is reserved for experienced mountaineers only.

Glacier Climbs
     
 

Technical ascents on slopes of up to 40°. Reduced rope party (1 to 3 persons with a guide). The Mountain Guides Office Selection: Grand-Bec, Grande-Glière, Mont-Pourri, Grande-Casse, first 4000, Grand-Paradis, Mont-Blanc and all the most beautiful summits in the Alps.

  Ski School
Discover and acquire glacier walking skills, with or without crampons. Trips for 5 to 10 persons organized everyday (depending on snow condition). Day trip.
Vanoise Glacier Crossing
Cross this magnificent ice cap (3000 m to 3600 m) on a 6-day trek.
Climb takes in Polset Dome, Croix-de-la-Rue Gap, Labby Pass, Chasseforêt Dome, Grande-Casse Pass and the descent to Champagny.
Features: Magnificent setting, view of the Alpine arc.
Mountaineering Course
Beginner or advanced training in mountaineering techniques. Learn about techniques, safety and belaying. Under the supervision of a mountain guide.
1st day : rock climbing school, 2nd day: snow school + night in refuge, 3rd day: mountain climb.
Multi-activity package
1 glacier group climb + 1 via ferrata + 1 Squirrel adventure course free: €110 or €125 subject to the level of the glacier group climb.

Mountain Leaders of the Mountain Guides Office
     
 

Mountain leaders are available for customized hikes through the natural wealth of the National Park. A weekly schedule is available from 15th June to 15th September.

Photography and nature hikes: Observe species that need to be spotted beforehand and approached according to their behaviour. Discover exceptional sites at the best times for taking pictures.

Courses on self-reliance and safety in hiking: Courses for those who wish to go hiking without supervision. Learn the basic knowledge needed for self-reliance in a mountain environment and how to face the hazards of hiking.

Trip Schedule:
Displays of the black grouse, photograph the ptarmigan, on the trail of the chamois antelope, self-reliance in hiking, snowshoeing safety.
