World Snowshoeing
From March 22 to 30, 2025, Pralognan-la-Vanoise invites you to experience a unique week, dedicated to the mountains and snowshoeing during the Mondial de la Raquette.
On the program: supervised snowshoe outings to explore the mountain in all its facets, workshops on mountain safety, wildlife observation sessions, gourmet walks as well as the discovery of local heritage. The week will end in style with a weekend of competition, including a 10 km event, on Saturday and Sunday March 29 and 30. An unmissable event for nature enthusiasts!
Program for the week from March 23 to 29, 2025:
Sunday March 23: arrival in Pralognan-la-Vanoise, from 5 p.m.
Monday March 24: warm-up and “safety” day with safety experts: guides, first aid trackers, etc.
Tuesday March 25: “environmental education and sustainable practices” day with Vanoise National Park officials.
Wednesday March 26: “heritage” day: the village and its mountain pastures seen from above, with FACIM guides. A panoramic outing!
Thursday March 27: hiking challenge with local schools and colleges.
Friday March 28: gourmet hike to meet local producers.
Saturday March 29: departure from Pralognan-la-Vanoise no later than 10 a.m.
Registration with the ESF of Pralognan.
And throughout the week, the Tourist Office offers free activities and workshops accessible to all: workshops, conferences, screenings, tastings, etc.
The stay program may be subject to change depending on snow and weather conditions. Please also note that depending on the number of participants, outings may vary depending on the day and will be available either from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 1:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Program for the competition weekend on March 29 and 30, 2025:
Saturday March 29: sports meeting day aimed at individual and/or collective surpassing (solo, relay, adult and youth snowshoe competitions + “backyard” concept)
Sunday March 30: sports meeting day aimed at cooperation and mutual aid (family challenge hike, snowshoe biathlon, etc.)
