Barme des Chèvres

Barme des Chèvres (“Goat Shelter”)

“Barme” is a local word that refers to a shelter under a rock overhang used by goat shepherds.

In the heart of the forest, dominated by spruce trees – the most widespread species in Pralognan – discover the goat’s “Barme”. Barme is a patois word meaning shelter under a rocky overhang. Along the way, cross the “Creuse des Pariettes”, the bed of a torrential lava (mudflow) that recurs during very heavy summer storms.
