COVID-19: PRALOGNAN PUTS YOUR HEALTH & SAFETY FIRST
Covid-19 information
On September 30, the French government announced that all French ski resorts will be able to operate their lifts this winter. Pralognan-la-Vanoise and the ski area will be open from December 18, 2021, through April 18, 2022.
Whatever the protocols in effect, your health and safety is our highest priority, and we have made all possible preparations and necessary arrangements. Everyone in Pralognan-la-Vanoise looks forward to your visit and has come together to make sure that you enjoy a fantastic getaway filled with fun activities all day long, making sure that everyone follows the health and safety rules in effect.
We plan to update this page on a regular basis to keep you informed of the latest changes in the rules and protocols.
Wearing a mask
As of March 14, wearing a mask will no longer be mandatory. All places are concerned, except public passenger transport and health establishments.
Health & vaccine pass
As of March 14, the application of the vaccine pass will be suspended in all places where it was required (leisure and cultural places, commercial catering activities, fairs and trade shows, etc.).
Ski area & lifts
WEARING A MASK
Wearing a mask is compulsory from the age of 6 in “closed” ski lifts, i.e. the cable car. On the other hand, the mask does not need to be worn while skiing.
Good practices and application of barrier gestures are essential throughout the ski area.
HEALTH & VACCINE PASS
As of March 14, 2022, with regard to the ski lifts, and subject to the provisions which will be drafted in the decree to come, the vaccination pass is no longer necessary to access the ski lifts.
Testing

A Covid-19 testing center will be set up starting on December 19, 2021, in the Galérie de la Vanoise shopping center, in the offices located at 64 Avenue de la Grande Casse, in Pralognan-la-Vanoise (facing the Petit Casino grocery store and to the right of the La Marmottine bakery).
The screening tests will be conducted by healthcare professionals, and by appointment only at the following times:
- Monday through Friday, 08:00-08:45 (only antigen tests) or 10:00-11:00 (antigen or PCR tests);
- Sundays from 08:00-08:45 (only during school holiday periods) or 09:00-09:45 (outside school holiday periods, antigen tests only).
You are required to make an appointment through the website www.covid-pralognan.fr/reservation/ and book a time slot.
Tests are free for minors (with valid identification), vaccinated individuals, contact cases (confirmed by ARS or CPAM), and all other individuals who have a prescription to be tested. For tests covered by France’s Assurance Maladie national health insurance, remember to bring proof of insurance or your “Carte Vitale” insurance card. Otherwise, you need to pay for a test with cash (Antigen test: €25.00, PCR test: €44.00).
