Shared Zone

In order to improve quality of life and safety in the heart of our village, Rue de Chasseforêt will become a “shared zone” limited to 20 km/h throughout the summer season. This initiative aims to redesign the public space to promote soft mobility, strengthen conviviality, and enhance our village center. In this new shared traffic space, pedestrians, cyclists, and motor vehicles coexist safely at low speed. It is identifiable by specific signage and traffic-calming features.

Parking in the Village

Village Center
Parking is regulated from June 6th to September 13th. Specifically, it is prohibited in the Place de la Mairie and Place de l’Église during this period. A blue zone exists along the Avenue de Chasseforêt, where parking is permitted for a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes with a parking disc conforming to European standards.
Parking discs can be purchased at the Tourist Office, the tobacco shop, and the newsstand for €3.00.

Bouquetin Car Park
Just steps from the main street and hiking trailheads, this car park is free and open. You may leave your vehicle there for several days, however:

  • The traffic code prohibits leaving a vehicle parked for more than 7 days without moving it.
  • The Bouquetin car park is occasionally used for municipal events during the summer. Parking is prohibited during those times (check the events schedule before heading out for a hike).

Camper Vans
A limited number of camper vans can park (outside of overnight stays) in the Bouquetin car park (along the cemetery) for up to 24 hours.

Parking in Mountain Areas

Paid Parking
From June 6, 2026, parking in the Fontanettes and Prioux car parks will be subject to a fee until September 13 inclusive.

  • First 2 hours: Free
  • 3rd hour: €3.00
  • Day: €10.00 for cars and €25.00 for camper vans (limited to 2 days)
  • 6 consecutive days (regular vehicle): €44.00
  • Season (regular vehicle): €120.00

Note: Residents of Fontanettes and Prioux will have a badge to park in the car park under the hamlet.

IMPORTANT: Each parking lot issues a separate ticket. Therefore, a ticket purchased for one parking lot is invalid for the other; only season pass holders may park freely at both locations. Parking is strictly prohibited on the entire length of Route des Fontanettes.

Camper Vans
You may access the high-altitude sites of Prioux and Fontanettes for parking. However, overnight stays are prohibited in the Prioux car park and paid in the Fontanettes car park (€25.00 per 24 hours).
