Le Barioz is the oldest neighborhood in Pralognan!
This must-attend village festival offers a delightful trip back to yesteryear.
Enjoy delving a little bit deeper into the history of Pralognan, and discover its traditions, its heritage, and its inhabitants.

11 a.m. – Parade through the streets of Pralognan-la-Vanoise / History
The parade evokes the life of yesteryear to the rhythm of the seasons. Decorated floats follow one another and evoke the life of the mountain pastures, the birth of mountaineering and winter tourism, but also the traditional wedding. Real animated scenes for young and old!

12 p.m. – Activities around traditions, place du Barioz / Folklore
Dances, music and folk groups (Les Embrunes, Les Sanfoins), demonstrations of ancestral know-how (cheese making), craft market and reconstruction of an old-fashioned wedding (3 p.m.). Refreshment bar, barbecue and sale of bugnes on site.

6:30 p.m. – Farmers’ soup / Conviviality
An invitation to taste the farmers’ soup, which has been simmering since morning. First come, first served! Dance party with music.
