Barioz Festival

The Fête du Barioz (patois for barrier) is the traditional festival
of Pralognan-la-Vanoise’s oldest district! A not-to-be-missed
organised by the Pralognan-la-Vanoise Festival Committee.

– Parade through the streets of Pralognan-la-Vanoise / History
The parade evokes the life of yesteryear to the rhythm of the seasons. A succession of decorated floats evoke life in the mountain pastures, the birth of mountaineering and winter tourism. There’s something for everyone!
– Traditional entertainment, Place du Barioz / Folklore
Dances, music and folklore groups (Les Embrunes, Les Sanfoins), demonstrations of traditional skills (cheese-making), craft market, refreshment bar, barbecue and sale of bugnes on site.
– Farmers’ soup / Conviviality
An invitation to taste the farmers’ soup, which has been simmering since the morning. First come, first served! An evening of dancing and music.
