In Los Angeles, AJ, a quiet high school student, meets Kristen. She is passionate about surfing, whilst he loves skateboarding and drawing. They fall madly in love; a happy future lies ahead.

But everything changes when Kristen falls ill. Together, they embark on a battle against adversity, driven by the strength of their love, their friends and their now shared passion for surfing and the ocean.
