Fête de l’Alpe et des Guides – Mountain and Guide Festival

The Fête de l’Alpe et des guides – Mountain and Guide Festival offers an incredible opportunity to learn about the history and life in the Pralognan of yesteryear through a float parade that provides a live timeline with historical depictions of the village from the end of the 19th century to today.

The local population pays tribute to the guides who died in the mountains.
The mass, celebrated in the open air, ends with the blessing of ropes and ice axes.

Parade and traditional costumes, official speeches, participation by the Cors des Alpes, the Beaufort brass band, the folk group “Les Frontières”, the Tétras-Lyres, the Théâtre de la Toupine and “Aime Country”.
Craft market, refreshment bar and sale of local produce.
