Fête de l’Alpe et des Guides – Mountain and Guide Festival

The program can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
It’s no coincidence that the Alpe et des Guides Festival takes place in Pralognan! Did you know that part of the history of mountaineering was written here?

That this is where the third largest Guide Company in France is located? Every summer, the 35 guides and mountain leaders take passionate hikers, budding mountaineers, and seasoned climbers to discover the Vanoise massif and the giants, whose highest peak reaches nearly 4,000 meters above sea level! Every summer, locals and tourists pay tribute to these guardian angels of our mountains for a weekend dedicated to the transmission and passion of mountain guides and leaders. On the program: a sound and light show retracing the history of mountaineering and the ascent of the Grande Casse, a blessing of the ropes and ice axes, a parade, and a medal ceremony.
